Future Foundations delivered a Sixth Form Induction Day on Tuesday the 10th of September at Ashville College in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. This was Future Foundation’s third visit to the school, delivering a Leadership Day for year 12 students back in May.

The programme intended to prepare the 80 students for a smooth transition into year 12, focusing primarily on leadership, team-building, communication and interview skills.

It was Course Directed by Owen, who was supported by 6 first-class Future Foundations coaches; Sharan, Amrit, Michelle, Shane, Seven and Jonny.

Ashville College is an independent, co-educational, day and boarding school for children and young people aged 3 to 18. Located in the Northern spa-town of Harrogate, the school is set in 64-acres of the most beautiful rural surroundings.

Each and every pupil is encouraged to be “the best version of themselves,” meaning that the school fosters a perfect environment for students to flourish.

Future Foundations is proud to have developed a long-standing partnership with the school, the programmes always achieving maximum impact.

The Induction Day created a supportive culture within the sixth form, by encouraging mixing between students new and old.
Students were encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning, and the attitude needed to go beyond what is being asked of them in class.
The workshops developed the team work and time management skills of the young people, whilst also challenging them to think about their vision for sixth form and set tangible goals.
