Transition Summer Schools

Future Foundations and the Edmonton Schools Partnership was selected by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) in 2012 to pilot a 4-week academic summer school in Edmonton.  In 2013, the EEF funded FF to pilot the programme across three sites in London and Brighton, to support and encourage pupils in year 5 and 6 who were at risk of not reaching a secure level 4 at the end of Key Stage 2. We hired and trained 100 teaching and support staff, and designed a bespoke curriculum in literacy and numeracy, as well as delivering a range of sport and enrichment activities in the afternoon.
