NCS Summer has been incredible so far! For the past five weeks we have had groups out camping, at the University of Reading, meeting local community organisations, surveying members of the public, learning to write CVs, running social media campaigns….all working towards creating and delivering a social action project. The 12 teams are now starting to deliver their projects and are out across Reading campaigning, fundraising, building and changing their community. We have teams signing people up to donate organs, a “healthyselfie” campaign, raising awareness about depression and self harm and renovating community centres. All the teams are doing amazing things and we can’t wait to see how all the projects end up at the graduations in September.
Good luck to all the teams and the staff who are still working hard to turn their plans into reality. Check out some of our teams campaigns and support their projects!
