The government will release funding to help schools ‘catch up’ after the disruption of Covid 19
Primary, secondary and all through local authority-maintained schools, academies and free schools are eligible for funding to help young people regain skills and confidence lost during the pandemic.
Children and young people across the country have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19). Those from the most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds will be among those hardest hit.
The government has announced funding to support children and young people to catch up. This includes a one-off universal catch-up premium for the 2020 to 2021 academic year to ensure that schools have the support they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time.
In response to Covid 19, Future Foundations has already been running an innovative and inspiring online programme for 2000 students and 230 schools. GSL Summer Catalyst @Home has live and independant learning and is already making a huge impact. Find out more by clicking here.
To help support our network of schools with this recent funding, we have created an online platform with further information and resources. You can access this by clicking here.
We are keen to do all we can to support teachers, parent/carers and young people through this difficult transition back into the classroom so please do get in touch if we can help by emailing info@future-foundations.co.uk or clicking here.
