We are very happy to announce two recent additions to the Future Foundations team:
Diamond – Student, Alumni and Business Administrator
Diamond joined FF in September 2014, she has already made an impression in the office as a huge administrative support to the project managers.
Diamond is a bubbly Ghanian who takes creativity to the max. She loves spontaneity and thinks that all young people should be encouraged to live life to the fullest both within their capabilities and beyond. She takes joy in seeing young people develop as people and in achieving their hopes and aspirations and has frequently done so through mentoring schemes and spontaneous 1-to-1 sessions giving her the title of ‘counsellor’ in many communities she’s worked in.
In her spare time she enjoys, creative writing, including poetry and spoken word, reading, playing basketball, singing and finding new areas of development for herself through socialising and exploration of different cultures.
Alice – Senior Partnerships Manager
Alice has recently joined the Future Foundations team following an eight year career in the gap year industry, organising, managing and promoting overseas volunteer and internship programmes for 18-24 year olds. Continually impressed by the breadth of skill, ambition and positive attitudes young people demonstrate when faced with complex challenges and the self-confidence that journey inspires, she holds a firm belief in the benefits of experiential learning!
Having spent the best part of the last decade encouraging young people to travel and volunteer their time to social action projects in the developing world, Alice is now focused on the difference young people can make in their own lives and communities, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
With a degree in English Literature and African Studies from the University of Birmingham (where she also worked closely with the ‘Widening Participation’ team to promote HE and raise student aspirations) she is passionate about travel, snow sports and is well known for her boundary-pushing fancy dress choices.
