Future Foundations was founded in December 2004 to empower and enabler others. From humble beginnings operating out of a bedroom, we are now part of an exciting hub of innovative and inspirational youth organisations residing in our offices in London, UK.
Since 2004 we have worked tirelessly and passionately to deliver award winning, life changing programmes to young people all over the world, creating a global network of young people making social change. A young person on one of our programmes said:
“Where you come from cannot determine where you are headed, but it is who you are that mainly determines your life’s destination”
This is a great example of the essence of Future Foundations, and our objective to live and breathe by a set of foundation principles which will help us achieve our mission and vision.
In December 2014, when we celebrated the tenth anniversary of Future Foundations, we decided to merge our organisational values and programme themes into a set of “Foundation Principles”; we wanted these principles to be a reflection of our staff, the behaviour we encourage in the young people we work with, and in the design we use for our programmes.
Our principles were updated using the feedback we received from our clients, staff and young people, which has shown that an underlying message and essence has been established, communicated and understood.
We are creating a network of likeminded people who are committed to making a difference not only in their communities but in society as a whole. We believe in the power of young people as they are the ones who can bring about sustainable change in the world.
