Stephanie Kerr, Executive Director of BID Leamington, has been announced as another fantastic guest speaker who will be talking to the students at GSL 2014.  Stephanie will be leading a session entitled “Planning the communities of tomorrow – a global adventure”, and drawing upon her extensive experience to inspire the young people attending.

This session will cover:

  • Balancing people, planet and profit
  • Encouraging curiosity and open-mindedness
  • The collective wisdom of the world
  • Making tough decisions and finding the right advice
  • Making every experience count

Stephanie stepped into the role of Director of BID Leamington in June 2011. BID Leamington is a business led partnership which aims to promote and enhance the town centre in Royal Leamington Spa.

She has a first class honours degree in town planning and has spent the past 15 years working in a range of roles for both the private and public sector. As a consultant she has worked on multi-disciplinary planning and strategic development projects in the UK and emerging economies. She also brings business and retail experience gained helping set up and manage a number of small companies in the outdoor and leisure sectors.

I have a passion for place-making and the development of thriving, connected and supportive cities and communities.

Stephanie Kerr

In her current role, Stephanie hopes to raise the bar and bring a more strategic and commercial approach to the way they deliver projects, re-engage with businesses to offer added value, re-energise them in challenging times and to develop stronger community partnerships and a more collaborative approach to doing business.

We look forward to welcoming Stephanie to GSL, in what sounds like a very interesting session!
