Fiona works with young people, helping them gain confidence and direction in their lives. She regularly runs programmes for youth charities and youth programmes in schools and universities. She is an ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified professional coach, NLP Practitioner, certified Firework career coach and ILM approved trainer.
Fiona’s first experience of coaching young people who were starting out in their careers came through working with the social enterprise Striding Out. During this time she coached over 50 young people aged 18 to 24 on the Future Jobs Fund programme, which helped young unemployed people into work and develop their career. Her previous 10 year career working for City recruitment firms, gives her first hand knowledge of how to navigate the job market and provide practical CV writing and interview support for young people in their job search.
Currently, she runs her own coaching practice Relaunch Me and is co-founder of Mind The Gap Coaching supporting people in their 20’s and 30’s facing quarter life challenges. She is an associate coach for Future Foundations delivering personal, leadership programmes for young people in schools and on residentials. As a coach on the Open Book Programme, part of the widening participation scheme at LSE and Goldsmiths universities, she supports students with fewer opportunities make the most our of their university life. She has also delivered workshops and coaching to interns at London South Bank University as an associate for Graydin and delivers employability workshops for young unemployed people as an associate with Step Ahead, focusing on CV writing and on-line profiles. She is interested in combining mindfulness with coaching and uses this in community projects with the social enterprise Rising Minds,
As a Visiting Lecturer at City University, she has taught coaching skills on the short evening course Coaching for Business . As a trainer, she has delivered the ILM Level 2 Award Mentoring for Young Learners to over 30 young people aged 18 to 24, the ILM Level 2 Award in Effective Team Member Skills to a group of young people in their first job and ILM Level 3 Coaching in the Workplace.
