ROLE SUITABILITY

To lead a team of up to 15 diverse 16-17 year olds working closely with a Team Mentor to support. Your 4-week role will require you to support, stretch and maximise the learning outcomes of the participants throughout the whole National Citizen Service (NCS) Summer programme , and mentoring your team throughout the delivery of their social action project.  You will also be involved in keep warm events before the programme which are aimed at helping the young people to overcome any nerves and to start relationship building.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, is passionate about social action and has experience working in a residential environment.  This role would be suitable for someone who is based in or close to Chesterfield, Tuxford, Retford, Newark or Worksop, as we will only provide residential accommodation during the NCS residential programme (Monday to Friday, weeks 1 and 2).

ROLE SUITABILITY

To support, mentor and help develop a team of up to 15 diverse 16-17 year olds through two weeks of the NCS Summer Programme working closely alongside your Team Leader. This is a five day (four night) residential role at an outdoor centre followed by five day (four night) residential role at a local residential centre (normally an independent school offering boarding on site and facilities).

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, is passionate about social action and has experience working in a residential environment.  This role would be suitable for someone who is based in or close to North East Derbyshire, Newark, Tuxford, Retford or Worksop as we will provide residential accommodation during the NCS residential programme, but not for the weekends between the two weeks of work.

ROLE SUITABILITY

Oversee and manage a team of delivery staff and young people for phases 1-3 (Week 1-4) of the National Citizen Service Summer Programme. Your role will be to ensure the successful implementation of the NCS Summer Programme and ultimately be responsible for the entire group of young people and staff throughout the programme.  This role is 4 weeks full-time (Mon-Fri), where the first two weeks are residential and the second two weeks being non-residential and based in Chesterfield, Tuxford, Retford, Newark and Worksop.

This role is ideal for someone with significant experience of leading groups of young people in a residential environment, managing staff teams and delivering sessions.  This role would be most suitable for someone who is based in or close to North East Derbyshire, Bassetlaw, Newark & Sherwood, as we will only provide residential accommodation during the NCS residential programme (Monday – Friday on weeks 1 and 2).

ROLE SUITABILITY

To oversee full management of Phase 2; overall responsibility for delivery, quality, safeguarding and overall management of operations at the Phase 2 venue. This will include, but is not limited to; organising the staff rota of responsibilities and duties, liaising with external providers to facilitate sessions, responsibility for the setup at the venue, and oversight of all H&S, welfare and Safeguarding on site.

This role involves the setup of the site ahead of the YP arrival on the first Monday lunchtime, clear down and set up at the end of each week. The Phase Director will be responsible for setting up all policies and procedures on site, as well as ensuring compliance with venue/ site specific procedures.

You will be the main contact for the permanent NCS team and have the overall responsibility for Health and safety at this venue.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, managing staff, a keen attention to detail and operations. This role is fully residential and working hours are Monday – Friday
