On Saturday 6th December, the FF team took part in a Santa Run, running/skidding our way around an icy 6 km stretch of Battersea Park. Led by Jon the-birthday-boy Harper, we braved the cold and dressed to impress (elves).

The annual race is a fundraiser for Disability Snowsport UK, a people-centred organisation with a unique sense of purpose: that anyone regardless of their disability can take part in and enjoy the thrill of snowsports. Disability Snowsport UK have applied exceptional know-how and adaptability for over 30 years to enable those with a disability to experience the joy of skiing alongside the able-bodied.  They provide exciting and life enhancing activities for individuals or groups who require adaptive equipment and/or special instruction and support.

We were joined by Santas of all shapes and sizes, not to mention a couple of escaped reindeer and some very confused tourists. Even dogs were spotted getting into the spirit, some with craftily applied beards so the the four-legged Father Christmases didn’t let the side down!

It was a great way to warm up on a cold December day, not to mention raising lots of money for a good cause.

Hope to see you ALL there Christmas 2016 for Round III!

(HO HO HO!)
