Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to wear school uniform?

Elevate is a non-school uniform activity. There is no formal dress code, however we recommend dressing comfortably and in sensible footwear. As a guide we would recommend smart casual attire e.g. jeans and a shirt/t-shirt.

We also advise you to bring sportswear to wear whilst playing games, and also swimwear and a towel for use of the swimming pool. Note that the swimming pool will only be able to be used at specific times and under supervision by a member of staff.

Please do not wear slogan t-shirts containing offensive language or images.

Do I have to bring spending money?

All transport, meals and activities will be covered by the Aldridge Foundation so there is no need to bring money unless you would like to purchase any additional items during your stay. Please do not bring excessive amounts of money. Your money will be your responsibility to keep safe throughout the trip.

When will we receive a schedule for the week?

The full schedule is being finalised and will be sent out in April 2020. This will have more information on the sessions but a rough plan can be found on the website under the heading Programme Timetable.

Will I be sharing a bedroom/bathroom?

Bedrooms are split over 4 floors and one member of staff (from one of the Aldridge Academies) will be allocated to each floor.  Male and female students will be allocated rooms in separate areas with segregated bathrooms. If any student has specific gender identification requirements / queries please contact your school’s lead trip organiser or pastoral lead.
