COBIS GSL WORLD CATALYST PROGRAMME

Virtual Leadership Programme 13th- 15th November 2020

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity with COBIS (Council of British International Schools)

The COBIS GSL World Catalyst is open to 11-18 year olds attending a COBIS member school.  It has been curated for socially active and creative young people. During the course students will build leadership, future world of work skills and confidence.

The course creates a global community where young people can share and discuss like-minded topics. The students will connect with students from other COBIS schools and learn how to launch successful projects in their community.

After the Leadership Weekend participants will be invited to take on independent challenges. This 30 day period will be an opportunity for participants to take positive action and gain additional certificates that will be awarded during a virtual graduation event.

This year many young people around the world will not have the opportunity to take part in the Student Leadership Weekend organised annually by COBIS in Madrid due to COVID-19. In response, Future Foundations have developed an exciting online opportunity.

Over the summer more than 1700 students took part in a virtual GSL Catalyst programme from 196 schools nationwide. The impact was fantastic, with 187 organisations supported through positive social action, and £16,087 raised.

“I am going to make a difference and if I ever encounter injustice I will put a stop to it, and show the world that I stand for peace and peace only.”

‘GSL taught me how I can make a difference.’

“Self growth is important to be a leader, you must adapt to changes and learn from mistakes you have made to surpass obstacles.”

We hope to follow on this success and impact with the COBIS GSL World Catalyst. Please visit the programme website for more details on the programme.
