AWS GetIT Phases
Phase One: Whole Year Assembly (September – October 2020)
If your application is successful you will then hold an assembly in your school to launch the programme to your students. This will be delivered by an inspiring female AWS ambassador who will then stay with your school throughout the programme.
For 2020-21, we will discuss how your assembly can be delivered online due to Covid-19 and social distancing.

Students can start independently designing their app – but should remember, that it must be focused on tackling/solving real local issues.

For 2020-21, the GetIT bootcamp will be run in schools with the help of online video and activity materials provided by AWS. Please click on the button below to be taken to our dedicated bootcamp webpage which contains all the information you need to know.
Phase Four: App idea feedback session (January – February 2021)
During this phase, a feedback session that is delivered by your AWS or Amazon ambassador will be organised. The purpose of the session is for your ambassador to give the students feedback on their app ideas and support them in the run up to the submission deadline (which is at the end of March). This is also a chance for students to practice their presentations to an audience.
Students can submit a blog post about their app or experience! Please ensure you have permission from your school prior to submitting.
Phase Five: App Submission (Date To Be Announced)
Please use the "Submission Step 1" online form to submit your final app idea. We will let you know if you have been shortlisted for the final within 2 weeks. If your team is one of the 10 selected for the final, you will present your idea at the GetIT Final!
All participating teams who are not submitting their project to the final competition, will need to submit a summary of their app idea and the names of their team members, via "Submission Step 2." It is vital that you complete this if you would like to receive a certificate of recognition from AWS.
