When you click on a link in one of our emails, fill in a webform, or interact electronically with one of the members of our team, our IT systems capture and record certain details about that process.

Any information that we collect about you specifically is closely controlled in line with the Data Protection Act. We must ensure that the information is:

  • used fairly and lawfully
  • used for limited, specifically stated purposes
  • used in a way that is adequate, relevant and not excessive
  • accurate
  • kept for no longer than is absolutely necessary
  • handled according to people’s data protection rights
  • kept safe and secure
  • not transferred outside the UK without adequate protection

We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any 3rd parties.

With some data – like individuals browsing our website for example – it is not possible for us to link this to you specifically (and don’t worry, we don’t want to!).  However, we are able to gather summary information such as what browser you were using at the time, and how long you stayed to look around.  We then lump all this data together with all the other people who look at our website, and we look at the bigger picture; e.g. what is the most popular browser for users of our site (and therefore we must make sure the site looks great on), how long do people stay on average and which are their favourite pages?
